FAMILY

Family is a small unit in community the leader of family and some people that gather and live in some place under the roof, in condition for depend to each other. Every members of family interact to each other and they have each roles. They create and hold on their cultures.

At least, a family has it own characters, which are :

1.  Consists of the people that have blood ties and adoption

2.  Members of family usually they are living together and they create one household

3.  Has one unity of people that interact and communicate to each other, which are play the roles of husband and wifes, father and mother, kids and their brothers or sisters.

4.  Holding on a culture together which mostly come from a wider general culture.

The functions of family, are :

1) BIOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS :

ü To continue the ancestry

ü To maintain and raising kids

ü Feeding food to family and full the nutrition

ü Taking care and protect the family members’ health

ü Giving chance to do some recreation

2) PSYCHOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS :

ü  Family’s identity also the feeling of safe and love

ü  Maturation’s personality of the members

ü  Psychological protecting

ü  Doing some relationship between family to the other families or to the society

3) SOCIOLOGY FUNCTIONS :

ü  To continue the culture’s values

ü  Socialization

ü  The making of norms, behaviors for every each development steps of kids also family’s life

4) SOCIAL FUNCTIONS :

ü  To searching for any resources to compete the other functions

ü  Division of any resources for spendings and savings

ü  The settings of economic and money

5) EDUCATION FUNCTIONS :

ü  Skills planting, behavior and knowledge in relationship between the other functions

ü  Preparing for an adult life

ü  Compete the role to an adult family’s members

COMMUNITY

Commnunity can known as society is a group of people that gathering together to shape a system (whether is open or closed system) where most of it interaction are individuals in that group. Community came from Arab languange that was named “musyarak” , it means some connections between entities.

Community is depend to each others, generally. Talk about community, community itself has its characteristic features. The characteristic features of community (society), are as follow :

1.Community is the a group of people that living together. The first community is humans that live together and make a group. This group that would make a community. They know and depend to each other. Social Unity is an embodiment of relationship in humans. Human can’t be possible to continue his or her life without depending their lifes to each others.

2.Community that give the birth of culture. The next community is give the birth of culture. In a concept, there’s no community that has no culture and so otherwise. Community itself that will give the birth of culture and culture itself that has inherited from generation to the other generation by any attitude process.

3.Community that experencies the culture. The third community has experience of the culture. As well as happen in the culture, community is also change. Some change that happen that caused by a few factors that come from inside community itself. For example, in the invention could might make the change to community itself.

4.Community is humans that interact. The fourth community is humans that interact to each others. One of the precondition of the realization in community is some relation and corporation between the experts and this will give the birth of interaction. This interaction could be apply whether in formal or non-formal (oral or non-oral) and communication is apply if community meets each other.

5.Community that has the leadership. The fifth community has it own leadership.

In this theory, leader consists from leader of family, leader of village (tribs), leader of the country, and etc.

6.Community that has Social Stratification. This is the last characteristic of community. Social Stratification means, put someone based on his or her level and also the role that has to be played inside community.

The elements of community, are as follow :

A.           Social Units, consist from :

1)                       The crowd, has it own characteristics :

·     Happen because the same center of attention

·     Interact between individuals that already exist, by comments, answer the questions around the objects that being the center of attention.

·     Crowd usually walk fast

·     Feeling as one unity that already exist for a while dan will be gone when the crowd is over.

2)                       Social Category; is the groups in community that based on general characteristics. Whether it’s objective general characteristic or not, like the stereoptype from the members of the group.

3)                       Association, is the unity that shaped for special purposes. Association is shaped the same mean,interest, education, profession skills, or religions. Association is an organization that is made by humans in formal way, has special purposes, has the limit personal members, relationship between the members is not personal, has the articles of budgets and budgets of bylaws.

4)                       Collectivity, usually based on the spotlight characteristics whether it’s physical or cultural

5)                       Group, is a social unity that has organization system, it means the classification of individuals in certain moments and times, and has the leadership element and certain rules.

B.            Social Institution, is the symbol of any responses that has been formulated and systematised from any life necessities.

Population

        Population is the citizen that lived in the country or certain area in the country or lived in geographical area and certain space. Let’s said that each people have an official document to live there. For example like citizenship card to prove that they are the citizens. Population has it dynamics. It is calles as the dynamics of population and the dynamics of population has the elements.

        Some factors that made or influenced the dynamics of population was :

1.  Birth

2.  Death

3.  Migration

Those three factors determined the growth of population, especially population in Indonesia. So, we need to know what factors that influenced the birth and the death of population’s growth :

1.  Birth, caused by :

·      Married in the current age (married in the young age)

·      The people’s perspective that “many childerns can make many a lot of sustenance”

·      The kids could give the parents a hope as the bradwinner and successor descent, especially if the had a boy

·      The kids could be as the deteminant of social status

2.  The resistor of birth, caused by :

·      The family planning program. That makes all people that already married may don’t wanna have a kids at all or maybe they don’t wanna have a lot of kids

·      The delay of  married in the current age, most of them have a reason for their educations

·      So many women that have a great career, that makes them don’t wanna get married

3.   Crude Birth Rate, is the amount of the births from every each thousand people (population) in a year. The classification of Crude Birth Rate :

·      The birth’s low number, if less than 30 per 1000 population

·      The birth’s moderate number, if between 30-40 per 1000 population

·      The birth’s high number, if more than 40 per 1000 population

A several factors that support dan resist mortality (death) are as follow :

v Pro mortality (support death) :

ü How low the people’s awareness to realize that how much important the healthy is

ü The healthy’s facilities which not adequate yet

ü The condition of people’s nutrient is low

ü Nature disaster

ü War, diseases, assasination (murder)

v Anti mortality (resist death) :

ü The incerase of people’s awareness on how important the healthy is

ü The healthy’s facilities are already adequate

ü The increase of people’s nutrient

ü Collect a lot of medics and doctors

ü The progress in medical program, such as doctor

v Crude death rate, is the amount of  the people’s death in a year. The classification of Crude death rate :

ü The death’s low number, if less than 10 per 1000 population

ü The death’s moderate number, if between 10-20 per 1000 population

ü The death’s high number, if more than 20 per 1000 population

The growth and the development of population’s amount in Indonesia which related with the growth and the development of population’s amount in the world

The amount of people in the country always having some change which caused by several factors like birth, death, and migration. The population’s change is named the dynamic of population. The growth of population is the development of population’s amount in areas or countries.

The amount of population can be known by census, registration, and survey of population. The amount of Indonesia’s population since the first census until the last census keep more increase. The first census that was held in 1930 by Netherlands Goverment, but the other sensusses that was held by Goverment of Indonesia in 1961, 1971, 1980, 1990, and the last one was 2000. Census in Indonesia is runned by Central Bureau of Statistics and it always been held for one time in ten years.

             Cultures

         Hi, guys welcome back to my blog where I had put so many articles which related with certain things that contains of knowledge like history, information technology, and etc. Now, for this one I’m going to discuss about “cultures”. So, if we talk about cultures then it also covered by the whole scope of culture inside societies or people in this world. But, before we discuss more deeply about cultures, do you know exactly what’s the meaning of culture ? allright,culture has 2 meanings and  I’ll tell you what’s the meaning. First meaning; Culture is the way of life that belongs to the group of people or local people and flourish in hereditary that also means inheritable from generation to generation. And the second meaning; culture is the whole knowledge that humans had as the social people to be used for understanding and make an interpret to their environments and their experiences. Besides, it is for grounding base runway to humans in create and consummate the behavior creation or the creation of behavior.

       Okay, from the two meanings that already discussed, it has been combined to be 1 intact sytem’s element which provide and signals the characteristic of humans, wheter it’s their mindsets or their behaviors among the nature and social circumnstance. But wait, there are 2 kinds of culture that you should to know :

·      Local Culture

The culture that flourish in some areas and belong to the tribs in Indonesia. Local culture lives and   flourish to each areas or tribs in Indonesia.

·      National Culture

The culture that formed from the entire whole of local culture that flourish in Indonesia also from the uptake result of foreign culture and global culture with some bond that has been being to be the characteristic of the entire Indonesian cultures which means as the noble values of Indonesia.

Now, we’re moving on to discuss the elements of culture that we should to know. There are 7 elements that was named “the elements of universal culture”. Based on (according to) C.Kluckhohn.There are :

1.  Livelihood system

2.  Equipment and technology system

3.  Society organitation system

4.  Knowledge system

5.  Languange

6.  Art

7.  Religion system (religion ceremony)

But, 7 elements of universal culture based on (according to) Koentjaranigrat, are :

1. Equipments (life’s equipment)

2. Livelihood and economic system

3. Society system

4. Knowledge system

5. Languange

6. Art

7. Religion

          Why there should be life’s equipment and technology ? because it is very important to used by humans or people in every life’s process especially to meet life necessities. Technology is very usefull to produce and maintain all equipments.  

           Why there should be a livelihood system ? because it was included on the elements of universal system but focused on traditional occupation like hunting, raising, farming, and catching fishes.

           Why there should be a social kinship ? because it is the most very important part of social structures. Kinship system is a system that counting line of descent based on wedding relationship and blood relationship. There are several kinship system that still had and being done by Indonesian like Bilateral Kinship System, Multirateral Kinship System, and Ambillineal Kinship System.

              Why there should be a languange ? because languange is used to communicate and interact also to show expressions.

               Why there should be an art ? because it’s referred to the value of the beauty which came up from humans’passions of the beauty that felt and enjoyed by their eyes or ears.

              Why there should be a knowledge system ? because knowledge is the whole thing that human knew about object, character,situation, and hopes. Humans cannot live the life without knowledge.

             Why there should be a religion ? because religion is a conviction that everythings that they’re believed are true and real (like : God, humans, objects, animals, etc) there are faith and hope (of honesty and kindness) and there are several people that was given a trust to run the duty (usually in Indonesia).
